Freedom to upheaval
The highlight nowadays “Padmavat” echos through the wall of India left me to wonder, how the riots about name‘Padmavati’ blazed the throng while the culprits of rape cases breaths the air of freedom. Mewars, by not feeling happy with the movie can unrest Rajasthan by releasing it whilst no one complained regarding the actions to be taken against perpetrators.
Controversy about Padmavat mobes unleashed violence across India, blocking buses, throwing bricks on release of the movie. The notion of claiming the distortion of ‘history of hindus’ and insulting Queen Padmini shows nothing but a cliché act of a society. It’s awful how a movie leads to the women threatening of mass suicide on release of film. I wish if only they would have taken such actions on any wrong doings in country instead on any lavish film. A recent gang rape on a 7 year old been murdered and left in trash in Kasur got the power of the talk of the town. Past several similar reoccurrences though were not a spark of decency. Expressions of relief for Families whose daughters got saved eventually can take part in candle rallies hoping for her soul to rest in peace, go home and sleep. Social media users, at its peak intriguing #Where is the voice? where is the justice? where is the #voiceforNirbhaya, #voiceforZainab, #voicefor8monthold until the tragedy restates itself with another Zainab, Nirbhaya and other unknown cases and to again cry over spilt milk. Girls are not safe to roam on streets wheras boys can Ramble in whereabouts. Why the girls are the only ones to suffer, to cry, to get harassed of, restricted to get garbed of. Just 1 riot about movie thwart the people from releasing it and changing the name at once to PADMAVAT. But the thought of ‘Let sleeping dogs lie’ will run in blood of people. Our inhabitants reside in the place where sim cards are sold for free and hospitals and medicines are charged at higher rates. Riots occur on release of films based on mythical beliefs but the candles have been lit on rape cases for peace. I can never understand the math of people. But the only question that arises is, where is the justice for #anyoneofthem?
